What age do you have to be to start riding lessons?
We ask that all children be at least 6-years old before enrolling in riding lessons. Pony rides/leadline lessons may be offered to younger children depending on availability.
What type of lessons do you offer?
We offer English riding lessons. We have a focus for our more advanced riders with hunter/jumpers, but every rider receives a strong foundation in English riding principles.
Do you offer make-up lessons?
We do offer make-up lessons, depending on availability in the schedule. We ask that if you need to reschedule, you give at least 24-hours notice. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will not be offered a make-up lesson. Makeups do not carry over after the month’s end, so please be sure to schedule your makeup lesson as soon as possible.
If you wish to stop riding or take a break, we require a 30-day written notice to leave the lesson program.
What if it is too cold/hot to ride?
In the event of a snowstorm or heavy rain/thunder, we will offer a make-up lesson. On days when the temperature is too high to ride, we will hold unmounted lessons. These are an opportunity for us to learn groundwork such as lunging or stretching, or to learn other horsemanship topics.
Do I get to pick which horse I have for my lesson?
While we do take into consideration which horses riders want to ride, depending on the schedule, you may ride a different horse. Our horses health and safety comes first, so you may not ride your chosen horse if they are due for a day off.
Do you accept e-transfer?
We accept e-transfer, cash, or cheque for all invoices.
What is your late-payment policy?
All lesson invoices are due by the 1st of the month. There will be a five (5) day grace period with written notice from the client. After the grace period, late invoices will incur a $5.00 per day late payment fee which is due with the full invoice amount.
If payment is not received by the 10th day of the month, your lesson spot will be considered vacant and offered to our waitlist.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have further questions.
